"The Mouse in the Cupboard", in Gaelic "Ballaí Lios Chearbhaill", is also known as <br> "Duignan's Odd Jig", "The Merry Old Woman", "The Rakes of Newcastle West",<br> "Repeal of the Union", "Tumble the Tinker", "The Walls of Enniscorthy",<br> or "Wollop the Potlid" is an Irish jig in G Major.<br> The parts are played AABB. Although most versions of the tune are in G major,<br> there are variants in other minor-sounding modes.<br> It was printed in Cranitch's Irish Session Tunes: Red Book (2000),<br> Johnson's The Kitchen Musician No. 6: Jigs (1982) (revised 1989, 2001),<br> McDermott's Allan's Irish Fiddler and<br> Sweet's Fifer's Delight (1965/1981).<br> It was recorded by James Morrison & John McKenna (1929),<br> Aly Bain And Phil Cunningham on Another Gem, Another Musical Interlude and<br> The Best of Aly and Phil,<br> Brendan Mulvihill on The Journey,<br> Boys of the Lough on Live At Carnegie Hall and Sweet Rural Shade,<br> Dudley Laufman on Swinging on a Gate,<br> George Wilson on Royal Circus (2000) and many others.<br>
